Uniswap Labs has announced a partnership with Ledger, enabling hardware wallet users to perform seamless and non-custodial cryptocurrency swaps on the decentralized exchange (DEX).

According to the press release, users can now swap tokens through the Uniswap protocol directly within the Ledger Live interface while maintaining full control over their assets. Ledger’s hardware wallets, recognized as industry leaders, provide top-tier security for these operations.

Uniswap Labs COO Mary-Catherine Lader highlighted that this integration aligns with the company’s mission to simplify non-custodial asset management and provide access to universal exchange tools.

Ledger’s Chief Experience Officer Ian Rogers added that the new functionality eliminates the need for “hot” wallets and intermediaries, making token swaps more secure.

Initially, the feature will be available only on the desktop version of Ledger Live and will support operations in the Ethereum network. Developers plan to extend this functionality to mobile devices and add support for other blockchains in the coming months.

It’s worth noting that Uniswap also plans to launch the mainnet of its L2 solution, Unichain, earlier this year.
