The Bahamas Parliament has officially approved the law on digital assets and registered trading platforms

The law is aimed at strengthening regulation in the field of cryptocurrencies after the collapse of the crypto exchange FTX in autumn 2022, the headquarters of which was located in the Bahamas.

Companies are now required to comply with a number of requirements, including investor protection and the need to undergo KYC procedures.

The regulator has also tightened the requirements for information disclosure and financial reporting.
