US presidential candidate Donald Trump has received $2m worth of bitcoin donations to his campaign. He was supported by cryptodonates from the founders of the cryptocurrency exchange Gemini, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss. Each of them transferred 15.47 BTC each.

Tyler Winklevoss also stated that he would cast his vote in favour of Trump. He reasoned that “the Biden administration has openly declared war on cryptocurrencies” and the SEC “has not written a single rule for the crypto industry that would help market participants navigate the regulatory environment.”
