In the first half of 2024, there has been a significant increase in the number of cryptocurrency listings.

According to CCData estimates, fewer tokens were listed in the entire previous year than in the first six months of this year.

Around 2066 coins are now available on leading exchanges, which is an 11.6% increase compared to the beginning of the year.

On smaller platforms, the number of tokens has grown by 32%, reaching 488 coins.

Analysts did not include memecoins in their calculations, of which there are more than 1 million this year. Memecoins are available on decentralized platforms and were not part of the study.

In 2022, the situation was different: investors preferred major assets, so centralized exchanges more frequently delisted unpopular coins.
