Crypto wallet Phantom has announced a partnership with Kalshi, bringing event-outcome trading directly into the app. Prediction markets are now accessible from within Phantom, without the need to switch to external services.
A New “Phantom Prediction Markets” Tab
Phantom has introduced a dedicated Phantom Prediction Markets section that features:
- Kalshi events and markets
- live odds and pricing
- tokenized positions backed by Kalshi
This lets users monitor markets and manage positions inside the familiar wallet interface.
Market-Specific Chats and a Read on Sentiment
A standout part of the integration is that each market has its own chat. Users can:
- browse discussion history
- join conversations
- track how the crowd’s sentiment shifts as market conditions change
Wallets Are Rushing Into Prediction Markets
Prediction markets are gaining momentum, and more crypto products are integrating them natively.
- In October, MetaMask announced an upcoming native integration with Polymarket. The update is expected by the end of 2025.
- In December, Trust Wallet, linked to Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, added a prediction markets trading section. The first integration was Myriad, a Web3 protocol. The wallet team says Kalshi and Polymarket will be added to the supported services list soon.
Crypto Exchanges Are Joining In, Too
It’s not just wallets—major exchanges are moving into the prediction markets space as well.
Gemini Launches Gemini Titan
On December 11, Gemini received authorization from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to launch a regulated venue for event-outcome wagering. The new platform is called Gemini Titan.
Coinbase Appears to Be Preparing a Rollout
Coinbase is also gearing up to enter the segment. In November, independent researcher Jane Manchun Wong reported finding interfaces in the exchange’s mobile app code for stock trading and prediction bets.
One screen reportedly states: “Prediction markets are provided by Coinbase Financial Markets via KalshiEX LLC,” which points to a likely Kalshi integration. When asked about the discovered prototypes, a Coinbase representative declined to comment in detail.
Sources cited by Bloomberg said Coinbase may announce prediction markets and tokenized stocks on December 17. The report surfaced the same day Coinbase joined the Coalition for Prediction Markets (CPM)—an operator group created by Kalshi and Crypto.com.
Coinbase’s Chief Policy Officer Faryar Shirzad said the company’s mission is to expand financial freedom globally, adding that prediction markets “by their nature democratize the search for facts and truth.”
