Last night, hackers gained access to the X (Twitter) account of French footballer Kylian Mbappé and used it to promote a fraudulent MBAPPE token on the Solana platform. As a result, many users, trusting the famous name, invested significant amounts of money into the fake asset.

Within minutes, the capitalization of the counterfeit token soared to tens of millions of dollars, attracting the attention of thousands of investors. One investor lost over $1 million, purchasing tokens worth 7156 SOL.

Shortly afterward, a rug pull occurred, and the attackers withdrew all the funds, leaving investors empty-handed. This incident serves as yet another reminder of the risks associated with cryptocurrency investments, especially when scammers use social media to spread false information.
