The rate above is the market rate of USDT (Tether) in Pakistani rupees. It is updated every 10 minutes from CoinGecko market data. Use the converter to change any amount from USDT to PKR or back, and the tables to look up common amounts such as 10, 100 or 1,000 USDT.

Why the price on P2P can be different

When you buy or sell USDT on a P2P marketplace, the price you see is set by other users, not by the market data above. In Pakistan, P2P prices are often a few rupees above the interbank dollar rate. Several things push the price up:

  • limited official ways to move money into and out of crypto;
  • demand for dollar-like savings;
  • the risk that merchants take on: payment disputes, fraud and account freezes;
  • the payment method. Ads paying via JazzCash, Easypaisa, bank transfer or Raast can have different prices.

Tip: before you accept a P2P price, compare it with the rate on this page and with the State Bank of Pakistan’s interbank rate. A price far below the market for USDT you are buying is a red flag for a scam.

How people in Pakistan buy and sell USDT

The most common route is P2P trading on a crypto exchange. You pay a seller in rupees (or receive rupees from a buyer), and the exchange holds the USDT in escrow until the payment is confirmed. Popular payment methods include JazzCash, Easypaisa, NayaPay, SadaPay, and bank transfer or Raast.

Safety rules that save most people from losses:

  1. Use an account in your own name, and only deal with buyers and sellers whose name matches their payment.
  2. Check the payment in your own app or bank statement, never from a screenshot.
  3. Never release USDT before the money has arrived, and never move the deal to WhatsApp or Telegram.
  4. Choose experienced counterparties: high completion rate, many orders.
  5. Send USDT on the right network. Most P2P transfers use TRC20 (Tron). Read What Is USDT? to understand networks and fees.

Crypto rules in Pakistan (2025–2026)

  • PVARA. The Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority was created in July 2025. In March 2026, Parliament passed the Virtual Assets Act 2026, which makes PVARA the permanent regulator that licenses crypto service providers. Under the Act, running an unlicensed crypto service can bring heavy fines and prison terms.
  • Licensing. Companies already serving Pakistani users had to apply to PVARA by 5 September 2026; about 70 applied. Binance received a preliminary No Objection Certificate (NOC) in December 2025, which is not a full licence.
  • Banks. On 14 April 2026, the State Bank of Pakistan replaced its 2018 ban: banks may now open accounts for PVARA-licensed providers. Banks themselves still may not trade or hold crypto.
  • Tax. As of October 2026 we could not confirm a final crypto-specific tax rate. Proposals discussed in the 2026–27 budget ranged widely. Check the latest FBR rules or ask a tax adviser before filing.

Rules are changing quickly. Before using any service, check its PVARA licence status.

Frequently asked questions

What is 1 USDT in PKR today?

See the live rate at the top of this page; it updates every 10 minutes. USDT tracks the US dollar, so 1 USDT is usually close to the dollar rate in rupees. The P2P price can be slightly higher.

How much is 100 USDT in Pakistani rupees?

Use the converter or the table above. Multiply 100 by the current USDT to PKR rate.

Why is the Binance P2P rate higher than the dollar rate?

P2P prices are set by users and include a premium for convenience, risk and limited legal on-ramps. The difference changes daily.

Is buying USDT legal in Pakistan?

Pakistan now regulates crypto service providers through PVARA (Virtual Assets Act 2026). Licensing is still in progress. Use services that have applied for or received PVARA approval, and keep records of your transactions.

Is USDT the same as US dollars?

No. USDT is a token issued by the company Tether and designed to stay close to $1. It has risks a bank dollar doesn’t have: issuer risk, address freezes and scams. Read our USDT guide.
