The rate above is the market rate of USDT (Tether) in Bangladeshi taka (BDT). It is updated every 10 minutes from CoinGecko market data. Use the converter to change any amount from USDT to BDT or back, and the tables to look up common amounts.
A conversion gives you a reference value. Read it together with the terms of any real offer and with the Bangladesh Bank restrictions below. A price on a screen is not permission to trade.
Why the P2P price can be different
Binance describes P2P as trading directly with other users, in a local currency, at a price and with a payment method that you and the other user agree on. The offers come from users. They are separate from the market data shown above.
That is why a search for usdt to taka can lead to different quotes. A market reference and a seller’s offer answer different questions. The first helps you estimate a value. The second shows the terms one person is offering.
To compare fairly, look at the same side of the trade, the same currency and the same payment method. Read the full order terms, not only the headline price. Fees can differ by market, and your payment provider may charge its own fees too, so the advertised price is not always the whole cost.
How buying and selling USDT for taka works
Binance has listed BDT in its P2P trading, next to other local currencies. A listing like this does not tell you that a given payment method works today, or that trading is permitted in Bangladesh.
In Binance’s P2P model, users trade with each other. When an order is created, the seller’s crypto is reserved in escrow until the order is completed. The money transfer and the release of the crypto are separate steps. Our Binance P2P guide explains the terms.
This page does not name payment methods for taka. Which methods appear on a trading platform can change, and being listed there does not make using them lawful in Bangladesh.
Binance’s P2P policy says users are responsible for making sure they have the legal right to their transactions under the laws that apply to them. Escrow does not replace that. For Bangladesh, the central bank’s position is the first thing to read.
Crypto rules in Bangladesh
Bangladesh Bank does not permit transactions in, from or to Bangladesh to obtain virtual assets or virtual currencies. This is stated in FE Circular No. 24, dated 15 September 2022.
The same circular says that helping with the exchange, transfer or trading of these assets is also not permitted. It tells individuals, companies and institutions operating in Bangladesh to stay away from such dealings.
Bangladesh Bank repeated this position in a consolidated foreign exchange circular issued on 29 October 2026. Press reports say it includes the restrictions on the exchange, transfer and trading of virtual assets and virtual currencies, and that it stays in effect for one year from its issue date.
A Binance announcement about BDT is not local regulatory approval. This page explains prices and the published restrictions. It is not legal advice and it does not tell anyone how to get around the rules.
A scam check and a risks note
Never release crypto just because someone sends a payment screenshot. Binance warns that scammers can edit screenshots and push sellers to release funds. It also warns about fake payment SMS messages.
To check a payment, open your own bank account or e-wallet. A message saying that money was sent is not proof that it arrived. Check that the sender’s name matches the verified name of the other user, and do not move the trade outside Binance P2P.
Escrow is not a promise against every loss. Stablecoins also carry their own risks: a Bank of Canada staff note points out that the word “stable” can mislead, because a coin can move away from its reference price. See What Is USDT? for background.
Frequently asked questions
What is 1 USDT to BDT today?
Use the live rate above for the current market reference. This page leaves changing prices to the converter and does not put a fixed quote in the text. A P2P offer may differ.
How do I calculate 10 USDT to BDT?
Enter the amount in the converter or use the price table. For a manual estimate, multiply the USDT amount by the BDT rate shown. Treat the result as a reference, before any fees.
Is the USDT to BDT Binance price the same as this rate?
Not necessarily. Binance P2P offers come from other users. Compare the offer terms with the market reference, and remember that a platform listing does not override Bangladesh’s restrictions.
Is buying USDT permitted in Bangladesh?
Bangladesh Bank’s circular of 15 September 2022 says transactions in, from or to Bangladesh to obtain virtual assets are not permitted. Press reports say its consolidated circular of 29 October 2026 keeps the restrictions.
Where can I compare other local currency rates?
See our USDT to PKR and USDT to naira pages. Read each page’s local rules on their own, because another country’s position does not apply to Bangladesh.
