This policy explains what information is collected when you use crypto-vestor.com (the “site”), operated by Crypto Vestor (“we”, “us”). Questions about this policy can be sent through our contact form.

Information we collect

You do not need an account to read the site, and we do not ask for your name or contact details. Information is collected in these ways:

  • Technical data. Like any website, our hosting and security providers (including Cloudflare) process technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages you request. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and block abuse.
  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, how long visits last, and the general location and device type of visitors. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers. Google’s own privacy policy explains how Google processes this data: https://policies.google.com/privacy
  • Advertising. The site is funded by ads served by third-party advertising networks. These networks may use cookies, device identifiers and your IP address to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure their performance and prevent fraud.
  • Push notifications. Some ad partners may ask your browser for permission to send push notifications. If you allow this, the partner stores a browser subscription token so it can send notifications. You can turn notifications off at any time in your browser settings.
  • Messages you send us. If you write to us through the contact form, we receive your name, your email address and whatever you include in the message, and we keep a coded (hashed) form of your IP address to limit abuse of the form. We use this only to read and reply to your message.

How we use information

  • to operate, secure and improve the site;
  • to measure traffic and understand which content is useful;
  • to show advertising that funds the site;
  • to answer messages you send us.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not use your data to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Legal bases (EEA and UK visitors)

Where data protection law such as the GDPR applies, we rely on:

  • legitimate interests to deliver and secure the site;
  • consent for non-essential analytics and advertising cookies, where consent is required;
  • legitimate interests to reply to your messages.

Cookies and your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can turn push notifications off in your browser at any time. Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking cookies may change which ads you see, but the site will still work.

How long data is kept

  • Detailed analytics data is kept for 2 months; after that only aggregated reports remain.
  • Server and security logs are kept for a limited period, normally no longer than needed for security and troubleshooting.
  • Messages are kept for as long as needed to deal with them.

International transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, these providers use recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • access, correct or delete personal data about you;
  • object to or restrict its use;
  • withdraw consent you have given.

To use these rights, send a privacy request through our contact form. Because we do not run user accounts, we hold very little data that can be linked to you directly. Requests about analytics or advertising data may also need to be made to those providers. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The site is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site or our providers change. The date below shows the latest version.
